furpaws.link is a URL shortener made for the furry fandom. You paste a long link, you get a short one. It's run as a community project, not a company — please treat it (and the people running it) accordingly.
Don't create links that point to: anything illegal, malware or phishing pages, content that harasses or doxxes people, or content involving minors in any sexualized context. Links reported or discovered doing any of this get deleted, and the accounts behind them get banned. Moderators have final say.
If you don't have an account: the link you shortened, when you made it, a click counter, and a random anonymous ID in a browser cookie so your own links list works. Anonymous links are automatically deleted 30 days after creation.
If you register: your email address, a hashed version of your password (we can never see the actual password), your links, click counts and daily click tallies, your badge number and customization choices, and any 2FA/passkey material needed to secure your login. Account links don't expire.
We don't sell or share any of this. Emails are used only for verification, password resets, and security notifications.
Two, both functional: one anonymous ID (so your links list works without an account) and one session cookie (so you stay logged in). No ad trackers, no analytics beacons.
Registered users can delete their account from the Security panel at any time — this permanently erases the account and every link it owns. The email is blocked from re-registering for 30 days (this prevents badge-number cycling). Anonymous links can be deleted from your own trails list, or just wait out the 30 days.
Anyone can report a link via the "Report a link" button. Moderators can warn accounts, ban accounts, delete links, delete accounts, and reset 2FA as part of account recovery. Bans show you the reason at login. If you think a moderation action was a mistake, reply to any email you've received from us.
This service is provided as-is, free, with no uptime guarantee. Don't make a furpaws link the only copy of something important. We may change these terms; meaningful changes will be noted on this page.
